Amy B., Office Manager/Licensed Veterinary Technician
Amy graduated from SUNY Delhi in 1999 with an associate degree in veterinary technology. She began working at Mendon Village Animal Hospital in May 1999.
In September 2002, she married her husband, Denny. They have two children, Marissa and Caleb, and they also share their home with two yellow Labrador's, Tucker and Brady. Amy is also a member of the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association (VHMA). In her spare time, she enjoys shopping, camping, and spending time with family and friends.
Kelly, Office Manager/Licensed Veterinary Technician
Kelly has been part of the team at Mendon Village Animal Hospital since 2004. She is a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), receiving her degree in Veterinary Technology from SUNY Canton in 1996. She became the Co-Manager in 2008 with duties primarily surrounding Human Resources.
Kelly previously helped to organize and coordinate speakers for the Genesee Valley Veterinary Medical Association (GVVMA). She is a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP), the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association (VHMA), and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
Kelly's two daughters keep her busy outside of work. Jaidan is the athlete of the family, participating in both soccer & track events year round. Katie is a bright, spirited little girl that loves to talk. When not attending Jaidan's events, they enjoy listening to music, going to the movies or spending time outdoors.
Kelly shares her home with 3 cats - Strike McShield, Toad and Rags. Even though she has a love for all things feline, a Pitbull by the name of Nike joined the crew in 2015. He makes their home complete.
Amy C., Licensed Veterinary Technician
Amy is a Licensed Veterinary Technician who graduated from Medaille College in 1996 with an Associates degree in Veterinary Technology and a Bachelor Degree in liberal studies. She began working in the Rochester area on emergency and with a veterinary dermatologist before joining Mendon Village Animal Hospital in April 2000.
Amy is married to Kevin and they have two sons, Hunter and Mason. They also share their home with an Australian Shepherd named Luna Belle. In her spare time she enjoys camping, swimming, being outdoors, watching her boys play sports, and spending time with family and friends.
DJ K., Licensed Veterinary Technician
DJ joined our team as a Licensed Veterinary Technician in 2007. She graduated from Medaille College with a Bachelors degree in Veterinary Technology in 2006.
When not working she enjoys spending time with her husband RJ and her son Gavin. They have two cats, Bean and Piper, and a dog named Harper.
Dianne R., Licensed Veterinary Technician
Dianne is a Licensed Veterinary Technician who graduated from Alfred State College in 2008. After graduation Dianne joined the team at Mendon Village Animal Hospital. Dianne grew up in Dansville, NY on a dairy farm. In 2011, she married her husband Nick. Shortly after getting married they bought their very own farmhouse in the hills of Dansville. In November 2015 Dianne and Nick welcomed their first child, a little boy named Lawson. They also share their home with three cats, Yeller, Ellie, and Rodney.
Jennifer M., Licensed Veterinary Technician
Jennifer graduated from Medaille College with an Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology in 2006. She started her career at a small animal general and referral hospital in Buffalo, NY and in 2010 joined our team at Mendon Village Animal Hospital. Although Jennifer loves the variety of working at a small animal hospital, she has a special interest in Physical Rehabilitation and Pain Management. Outside of work, Jennifer likes to spend time with her husband, 3 year old daughter and 3 cats. When not doing projects relating to her 1840s farm house, she enjoys traveling, cooking/eating, and hiking.
Jeni G., Licensed Veterinary Technician
Jeni graduated from Alfred State College in 2006 with an Associates degree in Veterinary Technology. She has been a part of the team at Mendon Village Animal Hospital since 2011.
Jeni grew up in Henrietta. She recently bought a house in Macedon, where she lives with her boyfriend Steve, their two cats Charlie and Bella, and their new puppy Sadie.
Dawn P., Licensed Veterinary Technician
Dawn graduated from Medaille College in 1994 with an associate’s degree in veterinary technology. She began her career working at Clark Animal Care Center, and in 2001, she joined the team at Mendon Village Animal Hospital and could not be happier. She loves coming to work and spending her day in such a great atmosphere.
Dawn and her husband, John, have two cats named Kozar and Bert. Recently they welcomed an 8-week-old Shih tzu named Benny to their family. Benny is becoming very spoiled.
Maureen M., Licensed Veterinary Technician
Maureen graduated from SUNY Delhi in 2006 with an Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology. She started her career in Macedon, where she worked for five years. She went on to work for an all cat practice for almost three years before joining Mendon Village in 2014. She grew up in Honeoye Falls and is glad to be right near home.
She has 2 longhair chihuahuas Darby and Cowboy. 3 cats Celia, Kitch, and Ninja and 2 Dutch rabbits Cinnamon and Dalma.
In her spare time she loves riding her motorcycle and doing anything outdoors.
Josette M., Licensed Veterinary Technician
Josette Graduated from SUNY Delhi in 2010. She started her career as a Equine Vet tech and moved to small animal in 2011. Josette lived in Long Island NY for 3 years with her husband, and recently moved back to Walworth NY. She has 3 dogs Remi - Rat Terrier, Hailie - American Bulldog/Pit bull and Abel - French Bulldog. She also has 4 cats Carter, Gus, Onyx, Trixie and a Chameleon named Rango. In her free time Josette loves horseback riding with her thoroughbred Flash, boating, fishing, reading and hiking with her dogs!
Coalie J, Licensed Veterinary Technician
Coalie graduated from Genesee Community College in 2015 with an Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology. She has been a member of the MVAH family since 2014.
Coalie grew up in Livonia with a wide variety of animals; big and small. She knew from a young age that she would love to work with animals and has always been drawn to working in a field that can allow a constant chance to learn and supply a challenge, becoming a veterinary technician just felt natural.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time kayaking, swimming and enjoying the outdoors. She is a proud owner of four fur babies; Her German shepherd, Cheyenne and 3 cats (Maxwell, Oliver and Sherman).
Melissa, Veterinary Assistant
Melissa has been working at Mendon Village Animal Hospital since 1994. She has always had a great love for animals and has many of her own. Her animal family includes a much adored and loved Westie named Oliver, a french bulldog named Sophie, six cats named Whispurr, Willlow, Elsa, Dylan, Mya, and Aslan. A quaker parrot, a rabbit, fish, chickens, goats and llamas round out her family.
She is married to her wonderful husband Ron. They have one son Dereck, a daughter in law named Bryn and a beautiful granddaughter named Charlotte. When Melissa is not spending time with her family or friends she enjoys crafts, scrapbooking and camping.
Chaz, Veterinary Assistant
Chaz started her employment at Mendon Village Animal Hospital in August 2011. Although she had very limited veterinary knowledge, she was encouraged to apply for a position by a staff member who saw her potential. Chaz has always wanted to work at a place that supported her love for animals. Throughout her employment, Chaz's veterinary knowledge has continued to grow - she has moved from working at the front desk as a CSC to working closely with the DVM's and technicians as a Veterinary Assistant. She loves to help both people and pets in any way, shape or form.
During her spare time, Chaz hangs out with her boyfriend, Tom, and his kids. Together, they do a lot of outdoor activities. She has a Pit Bull named Layla that she enjoys taking walks and going hiking with.
Emilee, Veterinary Assistant
Emilee joined the MVAH family in 2016. She attended SUNY Brockport for her Bachelors in Environmental Science and Biology and will soon have her Wildlife Rehabilitator License through the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation. Emilee knew from a young age she was going to dedicate her life to helping animals as she worked at local animal hospitals in the past and lived and worked on a reserve in South Africa at a wildlife laboratory for over a year. She is thrilled to be a part of such an amazing team at MVAH where she looks forward to growing and learning new skills.
Emilee grew up in Scottsville and now lives in Avon with her boyfriend, Eric, and four cats, Nugget, Tater Tot, Cannoli, and Peppermint and often cares for her brother's Siberian Husky, Loki. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and being outdoors. She loves hiking, camping, and kayaking, and you can always find her planning her next traveling adventure.
Lori, Client Service Coordinator
Lori has worked for Mendon Village Animal Hospital since 1999. Because she has had animals her whole life, it seemed most appropriate that her job would also involve taking care of them and helping people who share her love for them. Lori enjoys her work here and finds it very rewarding and interesting.
Lori has a horse farm that consumes most of her "free" time. She enjoys riding horses and taking care of them, as well as performing farm work. She has two dogs, Dylan and Jessie. She also has two feral barn cats, and one goat. When time allows, Lori likes to ski and hike.
Kylie, Client Service Coordinator
Kylie started working at Mendon Village Animal Hospital in February 2016. She grew up in the small town of Nunda where she shared her home with many family pets. She moved to Rochester in 2013. Due to her love of animals, Kylie plans to attend school at GCC to earn her degree to become a Veterinary Technician. Kylie and her boyfriend Brad are the proud fur parents of their Labraheeler Brodi. In her spare time, she likes to race motocross, go kayaking, and spending time with friends and family.
Tracy, Client Service Coordinator
Tracy began working at Mendon Village Animal Hospital in 2004 as a veterinary assistant after she graduated from SUNY Potsdam with a degree in history. When she is not in the treatment room with the technicians and doctors, she can be found at the reception desk assisting the client service coordinators.
She is the proud caretaker of three cats named Meshe, Blade, and Sabre. Tracy’s interests include reading and playing piano.
