Welcome Dr. Amy Todd!

Welcome Dr. Amy Todd!

Dr. Amy Todd was raised in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, but has called the NY Finger Lakes region home for the past 10 years. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Bioscience with Honors in Dairy and Animal Science from The Pennsylvania State University in 2002. She then attended Cornell University, graduating with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2006. During veterinary school, Dr. Todd focused her studies in both Small Animal and Equine medicine.  In her senior year, she was honored with the Gentle Doctor Award for excellence in patient care. Immediately after graduation, Dr. Todd completed a 1 year internship with Genesee Valley Equine Clinic. She stayed on as an associate veterinarian with GVEC for another 2 years prior to making the transition to companion animal practice. Dr. Todd practiced at Canandaigua Veterinary Hospital from 2009 to 2015, developing a strong rapport with clients and their pets during that time. She has recently joined Mendon Village Animal Hospital and is excited to contribute to the high level of care that has earned the clinic such a distinguished reputation in the Rochester area. Dr. Todd gains a lot of enjoyment from the long-term relationships she builds with owners and their pets as a general practitioner, but also has strong clinical interests in imaging, medicine, and clinical pathology. Outside of work, Dr. Todd and her husband, Brian, enjoy spending time with each other and their children, Bryn and Patrick. They share a home with a Rottweiler, named Greta, and two cats, Samson and Simon. As time allows, Dr. Todd enjoys running, cycling, hiking, and a good book!
